About the Host
Soraya Senosier, the host of Diaspora in Development, is a seasoned international development professional with over 20 years of experience. She holds an Executive Master’s in Cities from the London School of Economics, where her research focused on climate resilience and relocation in coastal cities across Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, she earned a Master’s in Peace and International Development and a Bachelor’s in Political Science.
Her extensive career has taken her to numerous countries, including Mexico, Honduras, Spain, the Dominican Republic, Kosovo, and Haiti, before settling in Washington, D.C. A proud Montreal native, Soraya remains deeply connected to the Haitian diaspora and is passionate about promoting equitable and sustainable development.
Through this podcast, Soraya amplifies the voices of diaspora professionals, fosters critical conversations about international development, and highlights diaspora-led organizations driving positive change.
